St. David's Round Rock Medical Center Receives Primary Stroke Center Certification

ROUND ROCK, Texas—St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center recently received primary stroke center certification from The Joint Commission. The Joint Commission recognizes centers that make exceptional efforts to foster better outcomes for stroke care.

“We are proud to receive this certification from The Joint Commission, which recognizes our abilities to meet the unique and specialized needs required of stroke care,” Deborah Ryle, chief executive officer at St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, said. “This certification highlights the exceptional services and high level of care we provide to our stroke patients.”

The Joint Commission certifies that St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center provides the critical elements in care to achieve long-term success in improving outcomes for stroke patients.

The Joint Commission’s Primary Stroke Center Certification program was developed in collaboration with the American Stroke Association and is based on the Brain Attack Coalition’s “Recommendations for the Establishment of Primary Stroke Centers.”

St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, located in Round Rock at 2400 Round Rock Avenue, is part of St. David’s HealthCare, one of the largest health systems in Texas.
