Surgery Services

St. David's HealthCare is at the forefront of surgical care, bringing the very latest technologies and innovations to Central Texas. Each of our five acute care hospitals offers state-of-the-art surgical facilities equipped with advanced imaging and diagnostic technologies, including specialized operating suites for cardiology, neurology and image-guided surgery. St. David's HealthCare is also home to the NeuroTexas Institute, the Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia Institute, and the region's only Renal Transplant Center.

Our full range of surgical care includes the latest minimally invasive diagnostic and surgical techniques, which cause less tissue damage and reduce both post-operative pain and recovery time. Today, this allows many patients to have surgery on an outpatient basis.

If your surgeon determines that your procedure can be performed on an outpatient basis, all of our hospitals perform outpatient surgeries. For your convenience, St. David's HealthCare also operates four freestanding outpatient surgery centers. Combined, we performed more than 40,000 outpatient surgical procedures last year, more than any other provider in Central Texas. Our dedicated professionals possess the experience you can trust and the level of service you expect.
