Chief Executive Officer St. David’s North Austin Medical Center
Allen Harrison was named CEO of St. David's North Austin Medical Center in August 2011. He came to St. David’s HealthCare from Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver, Colorado, where he served as chief operating officer. Harrison has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare field.
Prior to joining Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center, Harrison served in leadership positions including vice president of business development for HCA’s Continental Division and vice president of business development for HealthONE’s The Medical Center of Aurora, among others.
Earlier in his career, Harrison was the administrator of Kaiser Rehabilitation Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma from 1996 to 2000, where he was responsible for strategic and operational leadership for a freestanding, 80-bed hospital affiliated with a large integrated delivery system.
Harrison is a native of Tulsa. He graduated magna cum laude from Oral Roberts University with a bachelor’s degree in engineering and biomedical engineering. He holds a master’s degree in engineering and biomedical engineering from the University of Virginia and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Colorado at Denver. Harrison is active in the community, having served recently on the executive leadership team for the American Heart Association’s 2013 Heart Walk.
Chief Operating Officer St. David’s North Austin Medical Center
Sheri Dube has been the chief operating officer of St. David's North Austin Medical Center since April 2002. She originally joined the hospital in 1997, serving in other leadership roles in human resources and administration before assuming her current duties.
Prior to joining St. David’s HealthCare, Dube was director of human resources at Polly Ryan Memorial Hospital in Richmond, Texas. Dube is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. She holds a Master of HealthCare Administration degree from Texas Woman’s University and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Iowa. Dube volunteers as a mentor for the St. David’s Foundation Neil Kocurek Scholarship Program.
Chief Nursing Officer St. David’s North Austin Medical Center
In March 2012, Jane McCurley was named chief nursing officer (CNO) of St. David’s North Austin Medical Center. Jane has more than 30 years of experience in nursing with over ten years of experience as a CNO. She has served in multiple roles encompassing bedside practice and leadership. She served in roles as director of emergency services, critical care and radiology prior to becoming an associate vice president of nursing at Baylor Medical Center of Grapevine. She held CNO positions at Las Colinas Medical Center and North Hills Hospital in North Richland Hills, Texas.
In her five years as chief nursing officer at North Hills Hospital, McCurley was instrumental in advancing a wide range of quality initiatives and nursing leadership development, as well as achieving multiple accreditations and designations. She also oversaw strong facility improvement in a range of key metrics, including nursing retention and recruitment and professional nursing certifications.
Jane is active in professional organizations and currently serves on the Texas Organization of Nurse Executives Board and is President-Elect for the Central Texas Chapter. She currently serves on the Political Action Committee at the national level with the American Organization of Nurse Executives. She is a Regional Nurse Leader for Central West Texas Team Coalition. Jane has spoken at the state and national level on leadership and accountability for the patient experience and how to become a Top 100 Hospital.
McCurley graduated magna cum laude from Texas Women’s University with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She also holds a master’s degree in business administration from Texas Women’s University and a doctorate of nursing practice from Texas Christian University.
Chief Medical Officer St. David’s North Austin Medical Center
Kenneth W. Mitchell, M.D., has been the vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer for St. David’s North Austin Medical Center since 2006.
Previously, he held various leadership positions at the Austin Diagnostic Clinic, including chairman and vice-chairman of the Board of Directors. Mitchell received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin, graduating cum laude, and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, where he also served his residency working at Hermann Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital and M.D. Anderson Cancer Institute. Mitchell is a member of the Travis County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association, American Society of Internal Medicine and the American College of Phlebology.
He is also active in the American Heart Association, where he received a Distinguished Service Award. Mitchell is a Diplomate in the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Certified Professional in Utilization Review. He has also served on the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas Physician’s Advisory Committee and as a quality improvement consultant for Fortune 500 clients.
Chief Financial Officer St. David’s North Austin Medical Center
Natalie Pack serves as chief financial officer of St. David’s North Austin Medical Center. Pack joined St. David’s HealthCare from The Medical Center of Plano—an HCA-affiliated Level II trauma facility with 429 licensed beds—where she served for seven years in various positions including assistant controller, controller, and ultimately, vice president of finance.
Pack has two decades of combined hospital financial management and accounting experience. Since she first began her career at Arthur Andersen, LLP, she has worked as a systems integration consultant and senior business manager at Cambridge Technology Partners, a subsidiary of Novell, Inc., as a senior business analyst at UnitedHealthcare and as associate controller in HCA’s chief financial officer development program at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas.
