St. David’s North Austin Medical CenterAllen Harrison was named CEO of St. David's North Austin Medical Center in August 2011. He came to St. David’s HealthCare from Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver, Colorado, where he served as chief operating officer. Mr. Harrison has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare field.
Prior to joining Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center, Mr. Harrison served in leadership positions including vice president of business development for HCA’s Continental Division and vice president of business development for HealthONE’s The Medical Center of Aurora, among others.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Harrison was the administrator of Kaiser Rehabilitation Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma from 1996 to 2000, where he was responsible for strategic and operational leadership for a freestanding, 80-bed hospital affiliated with a large integrated delivery system.
Mr. Harrison is a native of Tulsa. He graduated magna cum laude from Oral Roberts University with a bachelor’s degree in engineering and biomedical engineering. He holds a master’s degree in engineering and biomedical engineering from the University of Virginia and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Colorado at Denver.
Chief Operating Officer
St. David’s North Austin Medical CenterSheri Dube has been the COO of St. David's North Austin Medical Center since April, 2002. She originally joined the hospital in 1997, serving in other leadership roles in human resources and administration before assuming her current duties.
Prior to joining St. David’s HealthCare, Ms. Dube was Director of Human Resources at Polly Ryan Memorial Hospital in Richmond, Texas.Ms. Dube is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
She holds a Master of HealthCare Administration degree from Texas Woman’s University and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Unversity of Iowa.
Chief Nursing Officer
St. David’s North Austin Medical CenterIn March 2012, Jane McCurley was named chief nursing officer of St. David’s North Austin Medical Center. Ms. McCurley has more than 30 years of experience in nursing. Prior to joining St. David’s HealthCare, she served as the chief nursing officer of North Hills Hospital in North Richland Hills, Texas.
In her five years as chief nursing officer at North Hills Hospital, Ms. McCurley was instrumental in advancing a wide range of quality initiatives and nursing leadership development, as well as achieving multiple accreditations and designations. She also oversaw strong facility improvement in a range of key metrics, including nursing retention and recruitment and professional nursing certifications.
Ms. McCurley graduated magna cum laude from Texas Women’s University with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She also holds a master’s degree in business administration from Texas Women’s University and will receive her doctorate of nursing practice this May from Texas Christian University.
Chief Financial Officer
St. David’s North Austin Medical CenterSt. David’s Round Rock Medical CenterCindy Sexton serves as Chief Financial Officer for St. David’s North Austin Medical Center and St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center. In each facility, Ms. Sexton oversees Finance, Health Information Management, Materials Management, Information Systems, Patient Account Services, Revenue Integrity and Physician Relations/Business Development.
She has more than 25 years of health care finance experience encompassing hospital and third party payer environments. Ms. Sexton has received accolades for her leadership in many significant projects, including recruitment of major physician groups and substantial budgetary achievements.
Ms. Sexton holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Chief Medical Officer
St. David’s North Austin Medical CenterKenneth W. Mitchell, M.D., has been the Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer for St. David’s North Austin Medical Center since 2006.
Previously, he held various leadership positions at the Austin Diagnostic Clinic, including Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors.Dr. Mitchell received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin, graduating cum laude, and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, where he also served his residency working at Hermann Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital and M.D. Anderson Cancer Insitutute.Dr. Mitchell is a member of the Travis County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association, American Society of Internal Medicine and the American College of Phlebology.
He is also active in the American Heart Association, where he received a Distinguished Service Award.Dr. Mitchell is a Diplomate in the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Certified Professional in Utilization Review. He has also served on the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas Physician’s Advisory Committee and as a quality improvement consultant for Fortune 500 clients.
