The Emergency Department at St. David's South Austin Medical Center cares for more than 55,000 patients experiencing a medical emergency every year. Our board certified emergency physicians, registered nurses and other specially trained staff have access to the latest life-saving technology to treat patients experiencing a medical emergency, anytime of the day or night. Like all St. David's HealthCare hospitals, we are a Certified Chest Pain Center accredited by the Society for Chest Pain Centers, the nation's leading organization focusing on improving care for patients with acute coronary syndromes.
In a medical emergency, time is critical. That’s why we have recently constructed a helipad, adding STAR Flight transport to better serve residents of Southern Travis and Hays counties.
