seven hospitals, four urgent care centers, four ambulatory surgery centers, and two
freestanding emergency departments, with a third set to open in Bastrop this summer.

Donald H. Wilkerson, FACHE

Chief Executive Officer

Don St. David’s Medical Center

In July 2011, Don Wilkerson was named CEO of St. David's Medical Center. He came to St. David’s Medical Center after serving for 13 years as CEO of St. David's North Austin Medical Center. Prior to moving to Austin, Mr. Wilkerson served as CEO of hospitals in Tennessee and Kentucky, and as an executive officer of hospitals in Virginia and Arkansas. He has been associated with HCA for 31 years.

While at St. David's North Austin Medical Center, Mr. Wilkerson oversaw significant hospital growth with hospital bed capacity increasing from 128 beds to its licensed capacity of 332 beds with the completion of an $82-million expansion project in April 2009.

Mr. Wilkerson is active in the community having previously served as Chairman of Discover Austin and as a member of the United Way Capitol Area Campaign Cabinet. He is currently a member of the Board of Director’s of the American Cancer Society, Central Texas Division. Professionally, Mr. Wilkerson recently served as a member of the Texas Hospital Association Council on Policy Development. He is also a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and is certified in Healthcare Management.

Mr. Wilkerson has a Master of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Arkansas.

Richard A. Hammett

Chief Operating Officer

Richard A. Hammett St. David's Medical Center

Richard Hammett joined St. David's HealthCare and the HCA Central and West Texas Division in 2005 as the Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning and Business Development. In that role, he was responsible for all strategic planning, marketing, public relations and business development functions for seven acute care hospitals in two cities. He became Chief Operating Officer of St. David's Medical Center in 2007.

A native of New Orleans, he began his hospital career in Tennessee more than 15 years ago. He has served in numerous hospital leadership capacities of increasing responsibility since receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Alabama and Masters Degrees in Business Administration and Health Administration from the University of Alabama-Birmingham.



Susan E. Griffin

Chief Nursing Officer

Susan E. Griffin St. David's Medical Center

Susan E. Griffin joined St. David's Medical Center as Chief Nursing Officer in October, 2009. Prior to joining St. David's HealthCare, Ms. Griffin was the Chief Nursing Officer of Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital, a part of the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System in Houston. She has more than 15 years of experience in the Chief Nursing Officer role and more than 31 years of experience in nursing. She has clinical experience in critical care, cardiology, oncology, emergency and trauma nursing. She has been a presenter at the local and national levels on such topics as transforming care at the bedside, mentoring and Pathway to Excellence designation.

Ms. Griffin received a bachelor of science in nursing from West Texas A&M University and master's degree in nursing from Bellarmine University. She is on the board of the Texas Organization of Nurse Executives and worked in collaboration with the Texas Nurses Association board on drafting language for S.B. 476. She also testified on behalf of this bill during the most recent legislative session. She is committed to working for those whose health care needs are underserved, and functions as a volunteer and board member at The Community Clinic of The Woodlands. She recently returned from a medical mission trip to Kenya and Tanzania as a medical clinic team member.

Cynthia Dake Brouillette

Chief Financial Officer

Cynthia Dake Brouillette St. David's Medical Center

Ms. Brouillette is the Chief Financial Officer for St. David's Medical Center, where she has been employed since 1989. Ms. Brouillette has held the CFO position for over a decade, a period during which the organization experienced significant growth. With annual revenues exceeding $900 million, the medical center is the largest of five hospital campuses operated by St. David's HealthCare.

Ms. Brouillette brings to the position more than 25 years of financial experience in the healthcare industry. She is a certified public accountant and Fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Her educational background includes a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with concentration in accounting from the University of Houston. Ms. Brouillette's healthcare expertise is rooted in her clinical hospital experience. Beginning in 1975, she worked four years as a respiratory therapist.

Today, she is active in numerous professional societies, and has served these groups in leadership capacities. She has received numerous awards, including the CFO Leadership Award for the HCA Delta Division in 2006. Ms. Brouillette has served the Central Texas community through volunteer endeavors, including driving for Meals on Wheels and More and she is a current board member of SafePlace.



John R. Marietta, M.D.

Chief Medical Officer

John R. Marietta, M.D. Vice President of Medical Affairs
St. David's Medical Center

Dr. Marietta currently serves as Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Medical Affairs for St. David's Medical Center, which comprises three of the six member hospitals of St. David's HealthCare, Austin, including St. David's Hospital, St. David's Rehabilitation Hospital, and St. David's Georgetown Hospital.

Before joining St. David's HealthCare in 2004, Dr. Marietta, a General Internist, had an active outpatient and inpatient medical practice with Austin Diagnostic Clinic for 22 years and served as a General Internist for the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System from 2002 - 2004. Since 2002, he has served as a Hospitalist for Hospital Internists of Austin.

Dr. Marietta received a bachelor's degree with honors from the University of Texas, and his Doctor of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. His internship and residency in Internal Medicine was performed at Central Texas Medical Foundation in Austin, where he served as Chief Resident Internal Medicine in 1980.

Dr. Marietta served on various committees and boards throughout his career with Austin Diagnostic Clinic, the Central Texas Veterans Health Care system and St. David's HealthCare. He is a member of the Travis County Medical Society, the Texas Medical Association, the Texas Club of Internists and the Austin Society of Internal Medicine.

He recently received the honor of being named a “Best Doctor” by Austin Monthly and a “Texas Super Doc” by Texas Monthly.
