Screening Mammograms
You will receive written results of your mammogram within 7 to 10 days of your appointment. Should a radiologist request additional imaging, a registered nurse navigator will contact you by phone to discuss findings and assist in timely scheduling and follow up. Your attending physician will receive a formal report by mail or fax.

If you would like to receive verbal results of your mammogram prior to receiving a letter, contact The Breast Center and a nurse will assist you.

Diagnostic Mammograms
Same day results are available. Plan to be in the center for 1 to 1½ hours. Images are shown to the radiologist while you wait in our comfortable patient lounge. If additional imaging or ultrasound is needed, this will be done while you are here. Arrangements can be made to contact you with results should you be unable to remain in the center due to other commitments.

Bone Densitometry
Same day results are available. A formal report will also be sent to your doctor.

Biopsy
Results are typically available within 24 to 48 hours. Your referring physician will contact you with your results. Please feel free to contact The Breast Center staff for assistance in obtaining the results.
