Georgetown, Texas — St. David’s Georgetown Hospital has appointed Rachel Sloan as its new chief operating officer. Sloan assumed her new role on June 1.
Sloan joined St. David’s HealthCare in 2024 as vice president of operations for St. David’s Medical Center, where she led several key construction and expansion initiatives, including the planning and opening of St. David’s Emergency Center in Manor, the launch of an onsite OB clinic and multiple facility improvement projects. She also played a significant role in expanding cardiac MRI capacity.
“Rachel is a proven healthcare leader with a strong track record of operational excellence and strategic growth,” Kyle Landry, chief executive officer of St. David’s Georgetown Hospital, said. “Throughout her career, she has focused on building effective systems, strengthening organizational performance and creating the infrastructure that allows healthcare teams to deliver exceptional care. Her experience and leadership make her an outstanding addition to our team as we continue to serve the growing Georgetown community.”
Prior to joining St. David’s HealthCare, Sloan was the vice president of operations at Parham Doctors’ Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. She also served as associate administrator at Methodist Hospital and Methodist Children’s Hospital in San Antonio.
“I’m thrilled to serve alongside such a dedicated leadership team at St. David’s Georgetown Hospital,” Sloan said. “I look forward to supporting the hospital’s mission of providing high-quality, compassionate care for those in the Georgetown community and beyond.”
