St. David's Emergency Center in Manor to open Dec. 3
Austin, Texas — St. David’s Medical Center today announced a new 10,840-square-foot emergency center in Manor will open on Dec. 3. The facility will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as a full-service emergency department, and it will serve as an extension of St. David’s Medical Center. Construction of the $15.3 million emergency center began in January 2025.
The emergency center will feature 12 exam rooms and advanced testing capabilities, including radiological testing and a medical lab. Patients requiring inpatient care will be transported from the facility to area hospitals.
“St. David’s HealthCare is dedicated to expanding access to high-quality, patient-centered care in rapidly growing communities across Central Texas, including Manor,” Todd Steward, chief executive officer of St. David’s Medical Center, said. “The new emergency center is a clear example of how St. David’s HealthCare is meeting rising healthcare demands by providing essential services for patients close to home.”
St. David’s Emergency Center - Manor will be staffed by board-certified emergency medicine physicians affiliated with St. David’s HealthCare, as well as nurses trained in emergency care.
The emergency medical team will treat all urgent and life-threatening medical conditions, including:
- Abdominal pain
- Dehydration
- Head and spine injuries
- Heart attacks
- Orthopedic injuries
- Penetrating lacerations
- Respiratory distress
- Sports injuries
- Strokes
Community event
On Dec. 2, the community is invited to join St. David’s HealthCare for a free celebration. The family-friendly event will feature holiday-themed activities, including photo opportunities with Santa Claus. Guests of all ages can enjoy festive entertainment, food and beverages.
The event, which is open to the public, will take place from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the new facility, located at 10703 East US 290 Highway, Manor, TX 78653.
