Dr. Tong, a native Austinite, grew up in northwest Austin before attending the University of Texas at Austin where she obtained an Honors Biochemistry degree. After graduation, she continued her medical education at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, before completing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana.
