Biography
Dr. Michel is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult joint reconstruction. A native Austinite and graduate of Westwood High School, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University before completing his medical degree at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. He went on to complete his residency at The University of Florida and Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, followed by a fellowship in Adult Joint Reconstruction at the Scr

I chose orthopedic surgery to help people return to the activities that bring them joy by understanding their goals and needs. I take a conservative approach, prioritizing nonoperative treatments and educating patients to set clear, reasonable expectations. When surgery is necessary, I aim to be as minimally invasive as possible and provide ongoing support for a full recovery.
