St. David's Georgetown Hospital names new chief nursing officer
Georgetown, Texas — St. David’s Georgetown Hospital has appointed Jane Jordan as its new chief nursing officer. Jordan assumed her new role in September, succeeding Jonelle Thomas, who recently transitioned to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center as chief nursing officer.
Jordan most recently served as assistant chief nursing officer at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center and St. David’s Children’s Hospital, where she strengthened the nursing leadership team and advanced employee and physician engagement.
“With more than two decades of leadership across the St. David’s HealthCare system, Jane brings extensive experience in nursing operations and a deep understanding of the values that guide our hospital,” Kyle Landry, chief executive officer of St. David’s Georgetown Hospital, said. “Her ability to connect with patients, families and staff will help us strengthen the trusted relationships that already exist in the Georgetown community.”
Prior to Jordan’s work at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center, she was the vice president of nursing operation for St. David’s HealthCare, where she led initiatives to standardize nursing practices and developed the Austin Market Float Pool. She also served as the administrative director of clinical operations at St. David’s Medical Center.
“It is an honor to join the leadership team at St. David’s Georgetown Hospital,” Jordan said. “Having served across our healthcare system for many years, I look forward to continuing the hospital’s strong culture of nursing excellence.”
Throughout her career, Jordan has focused on building cohesive nursing teams and strengthening clinical operations to support both patients and staff. Her leadership has centered around collaboration, consistency in care and innovative staffing models that help meet the needs of a growing Central Texas population.
Jordan earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Dominguez Hills and a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. She remains dedicated to mentoring future nurse leaders and advancing nursing excellence across Central Texas.
